An expert on my field

René BobeRene Bobe is an expert on my field, biological anthropology. He has a doctor’s degree in biological anthropology, of the University of Washington.

His research seeks to understand the evolutionary processes in hominids and other mammals in relation to climate and environmental changes in Africa over the last 7 million years. For this, he conducted fieldwork in Ethiopia, Kenya and Mozambique, where he, and others investigators, collected and analyzed fossils from mammals that provide environmental data on geologic time scales. They have recently begun to develop paleontological work in Chilean Patagonia in search of the first primates who came to South America.

The research topics of Rene Bobe are ecology of hominids in Africa, origins of technology in Africa, evolution of African mammals, evolution of African ecosystems during the Cenozoic and origin and evolution of primates platirrinos in South America.

Rene Bobe is a teacher in FACSO. He teaches the course of primate evolution, physical anthropology, and human paleontology. He is very neat and he provides to his students with actualized and interesting papers.
